Dear Steve, I Found the info required on the engine you gave Ashley as follows: Model 2A - JAP Petrol Engine 98cc - Four Stroke - Bore 51.5mm - Stroke 47.6mm Zenith type 12T carburettor 2A JAP engines have been produced in many thousands since 1939. It was used extensively during the Second World War by the R.A.F. and the Army to drive generators for battery charging, water pumps and cable-laying units. Post War this stand alone engine would have been used for either lawn mowers, cultivators, portable saws, compressors and the like. |
